In April of 2006 it was noted that the Hoodia Gordonii plant was selling for $300 for around 35 ounces on the open market. Of course, this price is probably quite a bit higher today as more and more people wish to benefit from the weight loss properties found in the Hoodia Gordonii plant. The Hoodia Gordonii plant is not an easy plant to grow and takes about 5 years before it reaches maturity when it will produce the fruit needed for weight loss supplement products.
