History of Green Tea for Weight Loss
The earliest known use of green tea in general is about the year 2737 B.C. The use of green tea for weight loss also was discovered many years later, but probably earlier than most people would think.
Exactly when is still to be determined. However, historical reports indicate that in about the year 1650 green tea depleted fat reserves in hungry laborers during times of declined prosperity. Of course, they needed their fat so they switch to the more-oxidized form of this plant product (oolong or black tea).

Green tea has been used as a weight loss aid because it helps prevent fat storage and increase energy levels. This phenomenon needs to be studied further. However, more and more evidence is pointing to positive results in using this particular substance as a diet aid.
Besides consuming green tea for weight loss this particular natural plant source offers countless other benefits. For example it was historically used to prevent scurvy, because of its high vitamin C content.
Moreover, it also is said to help reduce the chance of infection by a variety of different bacterial and viral diseases. Therefore people who consume at least a few cups of this substance daily reduce the chance of catching hepatitis, flu, common cold, or food poisoning.
Furthermore, it also has been used to help stabilize blood sugar, lower LDL cholesterol levels, and regulate blood pressure levels. Therefore, risk of heart disease, clogged arteries, diabetes, stroke, and other serious illnesses and diseases is reduced.
Moreover, it is one of the main sources of the antioxidant EGCG. This is a powerful agent that fights against all kinds of terminal cancer. This victory over this deadly type of disease is accomplished as this powerful antioxidant works to destroy free radicals which contribute to the formation of cancer.
It is said to be more potent than vitamin C, Vitamin E, and other major antioxidants. It is no wonder that it is also used to help reduce fat and improve health. It is also no wonder that the use of this particular product is become more popular every year.
Green tea for weight loss is administered in a variety of different convenient forms. Most people drink it as a liquid beverage. However, it is also available in a patch, powder, or pill form. It also is sold as a concentrated extract.
Note that further studies are being conducted to confirm the validity of the claims in this article. However, the general consensus is that this substance is far more beneficial for the human body than previously thought.
That is one reason why it is being more commonly used by people in the Western World today. People from the United States, Canada, and other places are finally reaping the rewards of this powerful natural ingredient.
